If you read this post, comment below so we can break my record of 20 comments on one post! I need your help!
Also, you can answer the questions above in a comment, too! I can't wait to see your answers. Thank you all for reading my blog! Without you, it wouldn't have lasted a whole year.
Until next time,
-Olivia
- February and March are tied for the most posts! They both had 6...I hope to beat that record of 6 posts sometime this summer, when I have the most time for blogging.
- The least amount of posts I've ever done in a month was....um...0 in April. *lowers face in shame* But hey, at least I warned you guys I wasn't going to post!
- The most comments I've ever gotten on a post was for my first post, a whole year ago, with 20 comments! So....I have a challenge for you guys! Help me beat this record by commenting on this post, and we'll make it get more than 20 comments! Can you do it?
Next, I want to touch base on something very exciting that happened to me on one of my reviews- the author of The One Safe Place, Tania Unsworth, commented on my review on her book! I was so honored that she read my review. :) Thank you!
Speaking of reviews, I'm going to give you a quick rundown of all the reviews I've done on my blog and what I gave the book. I would recommend any and all of the books I've reviewed!
- The One Safe Place, by Tania Unsworth- 4 stars
- The Shadow Thieves, by Anne Ursu- 4.5 stars
- Absolutely Truly, by Heather Vogel Frederick- 5 stars
- Guitar Notes, by Mary Amato- 5 stars
- Save the Cupcake!, by Lisa Papademetriou- 5 stars
As you can see, I gave all of these books very high ratings! I only reviewed five books in a year, though...that's pretty bad. My goal for Year #2 is to review at least one book every month.
When I first started Writer's Digest, it was meant as just a place for readers and writers. I'm really happy that over time it's incorporated more topics- two of my favorites being Good Eats and Happy Thoughts. Check those out by using the side bar! Also, today I'm going to do Happy Thoughts #6-7!
HAPPY THOUGHT #6: I have the cutest dog ever who, right now, is sleeping next to me and snoring really loudly. <3
Next, before my survey, I wanted to give you guys the surprise I mentioned in the title of this post! Below I'm going to write 10 questions for a "bookish" person. If you have a blog, feel free to answer them on it, but if you don't, you can just put your answers in a comment! I would love to know everyone's answers. :) Let's begin!
1.) What's your favorite genre- and why?
2.) How do you think of your character's names? (Or if you more of a reader than a writer, what your favorite name an author has given a character?)
3.) Can you block out noise when reading?
4.) Is there a specific place you have to read, or is anywhere fine with you?
5.) What are your top 3 favorite series?
6.) Do you personally think "once upon a time" is a good way to begin a story?
7.) Have you always loved reading or did a certain event cause you to begin loving it?
8.) Do you usually read indoors or outdoors?
9.) Do you also like to read classics (for example, Little Women) or do you prefer the books of our time period?
10.) Overall, what does the word bookish mean to you?
As I said above, whether you have a blog or not, I'd really love to hear you answers!! Now for the final feature of this birthday post- a survey for you! There's not really a topic- it's pretty random. Enjoy!
