I started on June 12th, 2016 which means I am nearing my two year anniversary. Guys, I really wanted this blog. I begged for this blog, so a two year mark is a pride and joy for me.
Do you really want me gone that bad? Haha, just kidding. If I'm being serious, I honestly don't know. Will this blog last forever? No, probably not. But that doesn't mean I won't start another one once I'm older. I think having a blog as an adult would be fun, too, though I don't know if adults actually have time for that sort of thing unless it's their job.
There are two, okay? I like to break rules today, apparently.
- Writing the actual posts. It's just...I know: "Well duh Olivia, that is blogging." It's just fun to write all my thoughts about books or writing or stuff like this question and just- say it.
- Getting comments from people. Especially people I've never seen or met in real life. I love every comment, but when someone I don't know comments, there's this feeling of awe that rushes over as I think, Wow. Someone who I don't even know likes my blog and cares about what I think.
Meh. I wouldn't say there is a worst thing. How about the thing that I hate the most? When no one comments on my posts, especially ones that I worked really hard on. And I spent all of that time and I don't even know if anyone liked it or read it.
Well, funny you ask. My collecting pictures process is quite simple. As I write a blog post, I continually click on more and more new tabs in my beloved Google Chrome and eventually the little bar at the top is filled with tabs such as "welcome may" and "seriously gif." Then I simply save them to the computer and upload them onto my blog! As for creating pictures, any pictures of me with books or pictures that I use as title thingies with words on them were taken by yours truly. I use Retrica for filters and PicLab to add the words.
Please tell me you didn't just ask that.
Oh, my. I've never had an author on my blog, though I have written a few and gotten replies. BUT ANYONE? At all? I would have to say Rick Riordan. Because all of his books are continually amazing and I love them and I think just talking to him would be amazing.
Sorry to disappoint you, but usually just jeans or short and t-shirts. Whatever the weather is, stuff like that. My uniform is casual, peoples.
Oh.
My.
Gosh.
I looked at this question and was like, prepare? For...? I figured I must have typed it wrong, so I went back to Emily's post to make sure and saw that she too was confused by it.
I love reading book blogs and getting tagged for things like this and knowing that there are people out there who also understand how it feels to be a bookish person. Of course, Anna does. But still. You know what I mean. It just makes me smile!
Hmmm....I don't think I should really be the one to tell you. Because there are a bunch of WAY more successful blogs (bookish and not) out there that could give you way better answers. They could give you entire posts on just "how to be successful." Like every blogger, I've read a few posts like that and decided they don't really work for me. But I guess that's because I don't want my blog to become world famous or super big. I just like knowing that there is a small group of people that appreciate it. So if I have to give any advice on this topic, I would say just post what you want. Write about what you want. Make your blog something you want.
as for who I tag....
