As for the supplies you'll need: a mixing bowl, an electric mixer of some sort, another smaller bowl, a spoon, measuring cups, teaspoon.
Supplies I highly recommend having: rubber spatula to mix the sides, knife to level off measuring cups.
Now here's a step-by-step picture process of making the cookies! Read the captions by hovering your mouse over the pictures.
- The website said it makes 2 dozen, but for me, it actually ending up making 3.5 dozen! And my balls were a little bigger than they suggested, too.
- The suggested time is 10-12 minutes, and 12 is the perfect amount of time.
- Don't be worried if when you take them out they look really smushy and undercooked. If you let them cool, they'll be just fine.
- They don't spread out, they rise up.
- There is a LOT of salt in them! I personally love the little kick it gives, but if you aren't a fan of salt, maybe go down to half a teaspoon. I don't know if that would make a difference, but it might.
- If you're going to add sprinkles, I suggest pouring some on a plate and then plopping the top of the dough ball into it.
- You can do this with only one cookie tray, but since it makes multiple batches, it's easier to use two.
- When mixing together the flour mixture and the wettish mixture, after a while with the spoon, it gets incredibly hard to move. That's when I used my hands to put it together.
- Store them in a container after they've cooled to avoid ants finding them...
I hope these tips helped, because they are definitely things I wish I could have known before I started baking them. Let me know in the comments what you think! Are you going to make them? I guarantee they'll be a hit!
