Second: stop by these great blogs, written by two of my great friends: http://www.thelastwordbyanna.weebly.com & http://www.emmacbass.blogspot.com
Third...take another look at the title of this post. Inspiration: we all have it. It's true! If you're a reader, you get inspired to pick up a certain book. Writers? You know all too well about inspiration. And bloggers, we're inspired every time we open the laptop to type up a post. If you have other hobbies, you were inspired too. Why do you throw the football? Swing the bat? Turn on the sewing machine? See what I'm talking about now?
One thing that I love to do in my spare time is listen to music. All types, too. Country, pop, you name it. Singers I listen to vary as well. Taylor Swift. Carrie Underwood. Miranda Lambert. The list goes on! But the singer I'm about to talk about is the first one I named: TAYLOR SWIFT!!
I'm guessing that you all know who she is. If you don't, or want to know more, hop over to http://taylorswift.com/about and then come back. In fact, even though I am a Swiftie and already know all about TS, I found myself reading it too! You're probably saying, Wow, she's a fan. What does that have to do with inspiration? To the point, please! So I guess I'll get to the point: Taylor Swift is a pretty big inspiration. For one, I admire anyone who can be FAMOUS. I could never tour the world, singing, signing autographs and airing on TV. Anyone who does that definitely deserves credit. Plus, she writes most of her songs. I'm a writer, y'all! (Well, not a published writer, but a writer. If filling up a million journals counts.) And if you're reading this, you probably are, too. And if you're a reader, that's just as great! You count on good writers! If you don't like either of those two, you've got to listen to music, right? Where would the world be without music?? More importantly, where would the world be without Speak Now and Shake It Off and Our Song? I can't even imagine it. Neither can this sad dog.
Which I can't get to center. :( Oh well!
Please allow me a small rant about my favorite song, Speak Now. (If you like it too, then you'll understand why I have so much I gotta say about it! My friend and I sang it last year in the school talent show, a capella. In case you're wondering how nervous I was, let's give it a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. But we got lots of applause!) So anyway, it's totally awesome. If you've never heard it or don't know the lyrics, what are you doing sitting here? Click on this link right away: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/taylorswift/speaknow.html Got it? Good. Isn't that such a cool story? Sad, too, but awesome. The girl in the song has nerve! I guess I should stop my rant now- but Speak Now is so great I had to let myself indulge!
Okay, so. (Why do I always say okay-so when I change the subject? Weird.) Taylor Swift is a super big inspiration for me because she's a great singer, a songwriter and a great person. Which not all celebrities are. This is kind of long, so I'm going to stop soon...but how could I let you go without a quick photo gallery of TS? Prepare yourselves!
If you've stuck with me this whole time, THANK YOU! This post was much longer than my usual. :) I'm so happy that you visited my blog. One more quick thing: I recently changed my "about" and "contact" tab info, so please check them out! Thanks again! Have a great day.
Who or what are your inspirations?
