There are only 3 things required for this easy project.
- A mason jar (or any jar I guess but I like those best)
- Sand (fake or real)
- Shells (fake or real)
- I don't really even know the difference fake or real sand, so yeah. But I used real because I go to the beach sometimes and we take sand home because why not?
- I would use fake shells if it's going to be like a MAJOR decoration. Or if you want it to be super cheery and bright and poppy.
- Use real shells if a, you have them and b, if you're like me and you want it to look like the beach how you know it. The shells I find there are admittedly not bright. But I love them just the same, because they came from the ocean.
- Fill a mason jar as far up as you want. I recommend a little less than three quarters of the way, or else the shells won't show. If you have big shells, then definitely do less. But no more than the less-than-three-quarters-amount.
- Put in the shells! I would poke a few down the side just a little bit and then pile the rest artistically on the side. (Translation: do not just dump them all on.)
- Screw on the lid tightly!
