On August 1st, I am changing the name of my blog from Writer's Digest (by Olivia) to Pageturner!! That means the site address will change as well. The new address will be pageturner.weebly.com!
If you go to my old address starting August 1st, then you won't reach my blog! So please help spread the word so no one is confused!
- Brooke: I do enjoy writing. However I have not done a lot of writing. I hope to write more this summer.
- Anna: Yes!
- Emily: YES! I've loved reading since I was little, but when I was seven or eight I began writing short stories. Same. I have a lot of stories from when I was really little, and they make no sense at all!
- Brooke: Oh my.... I have so many.... I'm going to cheat and write one for diferent genres. Marissa Meyer is my favorite Fairytale retellings author. James Dashner one of my favorite dystopian authors. Heather Vogel Frederick is my favorite contemporary author. J.K. Rowling my favorite Fantasy/Magic author. And Elizabeth Wein is one of my favorite historical fiction authors. I could go on and on.
- Anna: Trenton Lee Stewart because I love his characters and his writing style. I also love his style.
- Emily: Ruta Sepetys, Elizabeth Wein, and Rachel Coker. All three write raw historical fiction books. I think there is beauty and lessons to be learned through history, and those three authors in particular have a talent in crafting a well-researched and inspiring books set in important dates in history.
- Emily: People! This may sound funny, but I kind of have a thing for people-watching. Whether I'm in the grocery store or on vacation or in my living room, conversations or quirks that I notice go into a story or blog post. I love people watching!
- Brooke: I prefer people actors, but I like animation too.
- Anna: Both are good.
- Emily: THIS IS SO TOUGH. I'm totally a suburban girl. While I appreciate being in the country and beautiful, scenic roads, I also love the city!
- Brooke: Ooh, hard one..... I'll have to go farm. NYC is too big for me.
- Emily: I like writing contemporary and historical short stories, but I also keep a journal - and blog posts count, of course!
- Brooke: Umm.... talk to friends and do sports(I love soccer). I also watch a lot of netflix and color.
- Anna: Traveling.
- Emily: Piano and sewing. What can be learned from this answer? Emily prefers solitary activities.
- Brooke: Beach. I grew up around beaches in Guam so I've always liked them.
- Anna: Kalalau Trail, Kauai, Hawaii, USA
- Brooke: Hmm.... That's hard. Hawaii and Guam I guess.
- Emily: This is a good question. Biltmore Estate in South Carolina is breath-taking. The flowers and architecture. Or when I went on a cruise with my family about a year and a half ago, Puerto Rico was gorgeous!
- Emily: Do I LIKE the library?! I practically live there. I wish I did!
- Anna: I would write historical fiction or travel guide books.
- Brooke: I like the 21st century. I can't really see myself in any other time period.
- Anna: The 40s. I actually have no idea why though.
- Emily: 1930s-1950s! I just love everything about that time period - the clothes, the politics, the music, everything!
